Snow Day!

On Friday we started hearing that a big storm was heading our way!  We have had quite a bit of snow in the last few days but this was supposed to hit today be 8-10 inches plus below freezing temperatures.  Then last night we got a call that church was cancelled today. 

This am we played inside but the beautiful snow was beckoning us - we bundled up after lunch and went out to play!  It was beautiful and SO snowy!!  The kids loved making a snowman and sledding down our hill!  The fun play moved into a huge snowball fight with snow angels and tackling in the snow!  It was a lot of fun!  By about 4 pm we found out school was cancelled for tomorrow and the city is now on an Level 3 Snow Emergency which means things are shutting down and we are stuck at home.  So Christmas break has been extended another day - not sure how I feel about this!!  The bummer part is Morgan has to go to work in the morning - wish he could stay here with us!  We are all snuggled up inside with hot cocoa and watching White Christmas!!  Hope you all staying warm and dry!
