Happy New Year's Day!

 

 Our new year started with a beautiful snowing day! We had all slept in a little from our big New Year's Eve party (6:30 am) and we were trying to come up with a plan to enjoy the snow!

Morgan remembered this covering on our favorite bike trail on the Maumee River. It has a pit, wood, and even a bathroom close by. We decided to pack some hot dogs, snacks, and hot cocoa and take a snow hike! After the forever of bundling up we took off! We had to park on the side of the road and hike in - we normally bike this trail in the summer!  The snow was thick enough for cold toes but the fire pit in the shelter was awesome!  We roasted our hot dogs and enjoyed our yummy hot cocoa!  It was a lot of fun and everyone was happy about our adventure!

Here are some pictures ( I love the kids bright colored coats against the snow) - it was really fun and so beautiful!  Next up on our days adventure - the Polar Bear Plunge for Mom & Dad!
