Marin and her cousin Iken have birthdays just a day apart - my sister in law April lined up an awesome birthday surprise for them! A 150 foot water slide! My kids had never seen anything this cool! The morning of the big event, Marin woke up so sick! She could not keep anything down! Manhattan had slept over with her cousins and two of them also got sick too! I stayed home with Marin in the am while Morgan took our car to the stop (another long irritating story). Marin slept a lot of the day and she was so sick! She thought she was feeling better to go the "big birthday surprise". She knew there was going to be water and special visitors! Uncle Wes was kind enough to bring us over- she puked in his car - luckily Aunt Mary had sent a blanket and a bowl!! We made it there and she was so excited! She was just so exhausted so she just laid on the blanket!
Even when her special visitors arrived (our best friends from Ohio were in Utah visiting family and they surprised all the kids by showing up) she hardly perked up. It was the saddest thing ever that Marin was not even excited about that because she loves the Empies. The Empie kids were surprised too and it was so fun to see them! The best reaction was from their oldest and Manhattan - they ran screaming towards each other!! So funny!

She started to perk up and before we knew it she was off! I am so glad we came and tried - I didn't want her to miss her birthday surprise! We even had birthday cupcakes for the two of them! By the end of the night you would have never known how sick she was that day! What a trouper and what an awesome night! Thanks April for doing all that!

It really was a terrific night - I wish I could pull that off here - but we have no hills!! :)
