Maxwell hit the Big 3 birthday this weekend! Yeah! All he wanted for his birthday was to visit the farm - for weeks he has been calling it his farm birthday! We were envisioning a beautiful ideal afternoon at the farm - feeding the animals, taking a hayride, and picking pumpkins - the perfect picture opportunity for all of us. We invited our friends the Empies and Aunt MJ! Aunt Lindsey made the adorable cupcakes, cutsy napkins were purchased, presents wrapped! We were ready! Before we left - Maxwell opened his gifts from us - a Hex bug, playdoh stuff, a t-ball set, and some new books! He is so easy to please!
So how did our big trip to the farm go? A major rainy mushy day!! Augh! All day before and the whole time we were at the farm! Were the kids miserable or even grouchy? Nope, they loved it! We still got some great pictures at the farm!So fabulous - the worst possible day for a visit and the kids loved it! After our mushy trip to the farm we headed to Red Robin for dinner and yummy cupcakes!
In the end it was a fabulous day in the end! As soon as we got in the car to head home from Red Robin - Maxwell was asking to go the farm again! Next great day - we are heading back!

Looks like a perfect bday, weather and all! Happy Birthday, Maxie! We miss that little guy--he is too cute. I can't believe he's 3! You are awesome at planning and doing fun, creative stuff with your kids. Great job, Mom!
