Yeah - we took an end of summer vacation to Dayton: Wright-Patterson Air Force Base to see our friends the Petersens! They have been friends since way back when - went to lamaze together with our 1st child, endured nursing, sleepless nights, 1st steps, potty training, etc. It has been about 3 years since we saw them and it was like time had never past. It was especially great that our kids had so much fun together!

Who knew a stone cow could be so much fun!

Another set of stone cows, fun souvenirs, and Marin & Ainsley laughing!
Our first stop after joining up with Carolyn, Alex, Sydney, Camryn, and Ainsley was Young's Dairy Farm where we enjoyed feeding and petting cows, sheep, goats, and even chickens! Ainsley was so unafraid but she would eat anything. Carolyn warned us that she put everything in her mouth and she was not kidding - still cutest kid ever! The older kids really enjoyed feeding the animals - they were all so cute!
After we pet the animals we wandered and ended up at everyone's favorite spot - the ice cream stand - yummy!

One of the coolest parts of Dayton - splash pads - they are terrific!
When we finished up at the Dairy we piled in and headed back towards the military base to one of the coolest splash pads - it was a splash pad and playground together. It was so cool! The kids played for ever! We tired out and headed to the base for pizza - we were all hungry & tired! It did not take that long for everyone to crash! We could not wait to see Aaron the next morning (he was off flying a plane - cool huh?)
