First Day of School

Today was the girls' first day of school at their new schools!  

Manhattan is going into 7th grade and Marin is a 2nd grader!  

We visited Hattie's school last week and got her locker all situated, then we went back and practiced one more time on Monday.  Last night, we went to Whiteford's Open House and met Marin's teacher - she is very nice and Marin really likes her!  

Manhattan won't get her schedule until this morning but we heard she has "the worst math teacher ever" so that was exciting!  They are both great kids and I know they will do fine but I was and still am a nervous wreck for them both!

They both set their alarms this am and had to get going.  Hattie slept right through hers and Marin woke up early enough that we were all eating breakfast by the time hers went off!  We got Hattie on the bus ok at 7:25 and then we all came in to download pictures and hang out waiting for Marin's bus.  We totally MISSED Marin's bus, it was early, we heard it driving by!  Goodness, Hattie's bus was late this am and Marin's bus was early!  So funny - we all were cracking up laughing!  Luckily, Marin rolled with it and we drove her to school! She was the first one there and her teacher had a good laugh too!!
