Visiting Santa 2013

Saturday, December 7th

We made our annual pilgrimage to Matthes Tree Farm in Ida, Michigan to visit Santa.  This year, our friends the Mosquedas came with us!  First did our traditional wander through the trees and find one we "would buy" if we did not have a fake tree.  One of these years I am going to have a real tree (of course I know I will hate how I need to water it and how it drops its needles ALL over the place).  For now I will have my wreathe and my pine candle!  Here is our family picture by "our tree".  Isn't it beautiful - wouldn't it look lovely in our living room all decorated with lights.  Oh well, it is staying here for another year!

Then we headed to the petting zoo and the giant pile of straw!  Maxwell & Marin & Tavio went full on into the hay and were itching all day from it!  Maxwell was not afraid to roll in the hall - yuck so itchy!!  They loved it!  Hattie avoids it but we cracked up watching them!

Our last stop was to see Santa - he is the best Santa ever!  We talked to a lady that said she has been seeing "this Santa" her whole life (she was 38)!  He really is awesome and the people that work there are so kind and generous!

We got a really good picture with the kids but this one was just one Morgan took (they let you take your own) but we always buy one too - in this one everyone is looking every which way!  The kids were great waiting in the pretty long line and then enjoyed visiting Santa!  Maxwell has talked for weeks about wanting legos but when Santa asked he threw out "A Robot".  Marin wants something American Girl and Hattie is hoping for more Creator Legos!

It was also fun having our friends come along!  Another Christmas tradition done - we love the Christmas season!!
