Happy Birthday Marin!

Today was our lovely Marin's 5th birthday!  First thing this morning as soon as she was dressed, Hattie presented her with a birthday ribbon.  Marin said "I have always wanted this ribbon - my whole life!!"  Pretty cute!

This year Morgan had to work but my friend Lindsey (my most fabulous crafty friend) came and helped we have a super easy and fun party for Marin!

We decided to go with an "Under the Sea" theme and sent out the invites!  She wanted Little Caesar's Pizza for lunch and "Sister Empie's" cupcakes.  My kids have directly told me that Sister Empie (Lindsey) out cake decorates me (I totally agree).  See these pictures - yes, she is fabulous, nice, and super talented.  I feel so smart to be friends with her - my kids love her!!  You will see three of the cute kids are hers - my kids love her kids too!

Anyways - so we gathered a few sharks and mermaids, played in the water, ate lunch, played, open gifts, and ate cupcakes!  Super easy and so fun!!

Some more adorable pictures of Marin - love this mermaid towel that Lindsey made - so cute!  Although our party was under the sea - she is all about the Disney movie "Brave".  So this was her after the party - the doll was from Lauren (Hattie's BFF) and the dress and jewelry was from Grandpa & Grandma Smith - she loves it!

This afternoon we headed out to bike to Red Robin for Marin's birthday dinner and Cold Stone for dessert - note to self - that is too much food to close together!  It was pretty warm and the trip to Red Robin was hard on everyone.  The ride home was easy - we were all fed and the weather had cooled!

So Marin had the "best birthday ever" and it was pretty fun for the rest of us too!  Sorry for the picture overload - always so hard to chose!!

Happy Birthday Mar-Mar!  We love your energy and spunk!

Looks like so much fun! I was just thinking about her turning 5 the other day and wondering what cuteness you guys would cook up. We'll have to get together and have some fun when we're back in town ... whenever that is. Happy Birthday Marin!
