Hattie's Last Day of School

Today was Manhattan's official last day of school - I would not consider it a day of school. They do this weird thing in TPS where they went on Wednesday for the full day then yesterday was a teacher work day and today they came in for 30 minutes - I know what is up with that! They don't require them to wear uniforms and the TPS buses done run today!How they get away with calling that any kind of school day is beyond me! Kind of bugs me!

Anyways - We went in and brought summer treats for her teacher, Mrs. Saunders and her teacher for next year, Mrs. Bunn. We took some pictures with Mrs. Saunders and her classmates and then we went home.

Manhattan had a terrific 2nd grade year! She started the year with a wonderful teacher, Mrs. Nagy. Mrs. Nagy retired in March and Mrs. Saunders took over! We loved both of Manhattan's teachers - she was so lucky to have great teachers and a terrific year!

Looking forward to a fun summer - headed to the library this morning for some fun books for the Summer Reading Program that starts Monday - one of Hattie's favorite things in the summer! This year Marin will get to join in on the fun!
