Girl Scout Day Camp

This week Manhattan had a terrific time at GS Day Camp! She loved it everyday - she had a few grumbles - it was pretty hot, there were tons of mosquitoes, and the leaders were kind of "strict", etc! But she LOVED all the crafts and songs, preparing their own meals, washing their own plates, earning patches, and especially doing the skits! The week ended with a family lunch so we all got to see camp in action. Marin was so excited, all week she had been counting the days "day 5 I have lunch at camping"- we made her a sit upon and she got to have lunch with the Tschernes. By the time the closing ceremonies arrived she was whipped - you can see that she is laying on the grass, using her sit upon as a pillow while Morgan shaded her body. She didn't really fall asleep there but she was out as soon as we drove out of the parking lot. We are so glad we sent Hattie - next week the theme will be GSI - Girl Scout Investigators. Manhattan and Lauren are already excited!
