Our plane ride!

We have arrived safely in Oregon and whew it was a great plane ride and drive out to Seaside. The girls did an amazing job and it was an exhausting day.

We left Toledo about 11:30 am and drove to Detroit. We got on the plane at 2:3o and flew to Chicago. In Chicago we camped out at the airport for 2.5 hours. We had a nutritious dinner at McDonalds.

We loaded on the airplane at 5:15 pm and started the 6 hours flight to Portland. It could have been 4.5 but we landed in Denver and then we were delayed so in the end it was about 6.5 hours. I am so grateful for how well they travel and grateful to the Southwest airline people. We have always had great flight attendants etc and they are quick and efficient! We arrived in Portland, Or and quickly got our rental car. Our rental car is the smallest car we have ever rented - a little too small for our growing family. It is a fancy Nissan Ultima - It is like a sports car so Hattie thinks it is cool! It has this fancy no key push button start system. Whatever - you know it just feels small to me! But like we were laughing about - it drives well and now we know it is off our list next time we need a new car! No driving on the beach in that car - we will be borrowing my parents CRV for beach combing!

We finally got to our hotel about 10 pm which is 1 AM Toledo time - we all crashed! The girls both took small naps on the plane and did so well the whole time. The next morning we woke up and I was starving - Morgan appeased me and we went to IHOP for breakfast and it was great - it felt like I just needed some "normal, real" food!

We met my mom at a fabric store to buy fabric to make a baby quilt for Baby M. That was a bit of a challenge with the girls - it was crazy - Marin loves to unroll the fabric and really look at it! Manhattan was excited to pick out some new fabric to make a skirt for her! We arrived at my parent's house at lunch Wednesday afternoon - thankfully Marin napped most of the way out so that was a blessing!

We are out at the coast and things are going great! The girls are sleeping well - which I am so happy about! We had a fun day today - I will post all the pictures tomorrow! I will catch more tomorrow - I am exhausted!
