A couple of weeks ago, Sister Twelmeyer, in our ward, invited Hattie to try out for a TV commercial for the Toledo Zoo.We figured - hey why not?. They sent us a little script and we went over it a little bit.
She had memorized some of the lines but was really nervous. They went to the local PBS station for the shoot, it took about 20-30 min.
We got a free family pass to the zoo out of it and Hattie was pretty happy with that.
She did a good job but we didn't think they would use her in the commercials so we prepared her for that likelyhood.
In the end, they did want to use her for one of the commercials. We think it is pretty funny.
She was excited to get the check in the mail - although she does not really understand money or how much it was. We figured out her tithing and bought her a much needed bike. The rest will go into the college fund we started years ago (but have not put much into yet)!
We still haven't seen the finished commercial. They are going to send us a copy of it so maybe we can download it and blog it for everyone to see!!

How fun! I can't wait to see her in the commercial. Let us know next time an opportunity like that presents itself, it's about time Hayden started earning his keep =)
